Are you running just 1.5 miles each run? How much are you running per calendar week?

My distance increased and my speed decreased gradually every bit I increased my mileage each run.

Well I run almost 4 times a week. Regarding the distance: yes, regarding the fourth dimension: no. This 1.v miles in 12:30mins is more like a claiming for myself. P.S I do understand that information technology volition take time merely I dear running and give thanks y'all in advance for advice!

For shorter distances like that y'all need to exist competent at running longer distances. Try ii.5 mayhap 3 miles for a few weeks at like a 10 minute mile footstep, on shorter runs (.five-.25 miles) sprint them and attempt to complete them every bit fast equally possible. This is what I've been doing for my 3 mile run and I've gone from 23:30 to 21:03.

Is 1.5 miles your total run? My warmup is about 0.9 miles and I offset timing later on that point. If you're but running 1.5 miles each time, I'd suggest going double or more than - make the run thirty minutes. Somewhere in the middle of your run, time a ane.v-mile segment. Feel complimentary to accept it piece of cake earlier and afterwards, and focus on speed for the timed segment. Do that for a few weeks - my judge is you will see improvement.

Non ever (sometimes I run more than), but I get your point! Will increase my altitude (as I see information technology is the most mutual answer here:) ) Thank you!

I realized that I became faster when I started cycling/ working out my legs.

Ahh, doing legs is the toughest thing on earth.. :(

Run all aerobic runs and get your weekly mileage upwardly to xxx miles a calendar week, then run a VO2 Max cycle and a lactate threshold cycle. Possibly a couple of each then see how you better.

Don't just focus on running 1.5 miles. Yous need to develop VO2 Max, Threshold, and aerobic systems to improve at running.

level 2

Hmmm.. 30 miles a week sound a lot just doable in the long run! Thanks:)

Is 1.five miles your total run? My warmup is about 0.nine miles and I start timing after that point. If you're just running 1.5 miles each time, I'd suggest going double or more - make the total run xxx minutes. Somewhere in the middle of your run, time a 1.5-mile segment. Experience free to accept information technology easy before and after, and focus on speed for the timed segment. Do that for a few weeks - my guess is yous will see improvement.

Run fast , then run a lot of slow miles , then when you're recovered run fast some more, then run more slow miles & and then on
